RE: Back to back ISA with ISA 2000 and ISA 2004

DMZ will have mail relay(spam and virus scanners), four web servers
(non-critical), a DNS server and a non-critical FTP server. Employees will VPN
in and use the terminal servers in the intranet. Considering ISA2004 has more
features than ISA 2000, I thought I might place ISA2000 in the front and ISA
2004 in the back.

If I put the mail relay, web and ftp servers in the DMZ, I believe the traffic
on the internal ISA will be considerabily lower than I have now.

Thanks

Answer this:

What is operating in the DMZ and what traffic expectations does it impose on
the internal firewall?

Subject: [isalist] Back to back ISA with ISA 2000 and ISA 2004

I need to submit a report for our DMZ and planning to use the back to back ISA
architecture. I currently have ISA 2000 and planning to purchase ISA 2004.
Which ISA server I should use in the front and back (Front meaning ISA facing
the internet and DMZ and back meaning ISA facing the DMZ and Intranet). I
would appreciate if you can give me some pros and cons of the setup.

Thanks
