Hi Thomas,

I took the relay out for right now but will be adding it back when I put
it back it will reside in the DMZ. I'll be using 2 just for the heck of
it. Postfix and SENDMAIL. ( more for learning then anything else)

I'm back to this now:
What I have is my external ISA box with 2 NIC cards. One is goes into
the dmz where I have my public DNS and WEB servers.
From the DMZ I have my internal ISA BOX with 2 NIC cards. Behind that
is where I have my Exchange machine.

It just baffles me that some sites that mail to my domain gets through,
others seem to be blocked and I don't think that I'm blocking anything
that I shouldn't be blocking. I can mail out just fine. I just want to
start using my own mail servers more rather then MSN.

Thank you,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,

I didn't cover any back to back DMZ scenarios other then the unihomed
Web Proxy for OWA publishing.

Where is the SMTP relay located?

Thanks!
Tom

        Hi All,

I've looked at the articles in the exchange kit and did not
really see anything much related to back to back SMTP with exchange and
multiple virtual servers.
It is amazing that from some sources I receive in email just
fine on my own servers, but when I switched my isalist account to my own
servers I received 3 emails then none, I'm unable to receive those items
and had to switch back to my msn.com account. I would rather use my own
mail servers.

I made sure that I did not have SMTP 25 packet filters set and
also made sure that protocols were set. I must be missing something. I
will have to adopt the Missouri attitude.
If someone has a simple Visio diagram showing the inbound from
external isa > DMZ > Internal ISA sample setup please email it to me.
And, what the possible protocols should look like I would appreciate it.

        Thank you,

        Joseph
