I'll be using 2 just for the heck of it. Postfix and SENDMAIL. ( more for learning then anything else) I'm back to this now: What I have is my external ISA box with 2 NIC cards. One is goes into the dmz where I have my public DNS and WEB servers. From the DMZ I have my internal ISA BOX with 2 NIC cards. Behind that is where I have my Exchange machine. It just baffles me that some sites that mail to my domain gets through, others seem to be blocked and I don't think that I'm blocking anything that I shouldn't be blocking. I can mail out just fine. I just want to start using my own mail servers more rather then MSN. Thank you, Joseph -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 2:35 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Back to Back STMP Publishing Sensitivity: Confidential http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Joseph, I didn't cover any back to back DMZ scenarios other then the unihomed Web Proxy for OWA publishing. Where is the SMTP relay located? Thanks! It is amazing that from some sources I receive in email just fine on my own servers, but when I switched my isalist account to my own servers I received 3 emails then none, I'm unable to receive those items and had to switch back to my msn.com account. I would rather use my own mail servers. I made sure that I did not have SMTP 25 packet filters set and also made sure that protocols were set. I must be missing something. I will have to adopt the Missouri attitude. If someone has a simple Visio diagram showing the inbound from external isa > DMZ > Internal ISA sample setup please email it to me. And, what the possible protocols should look like I would appreciate it.
