Automatic Configuration Script

Hi,
Do i have to install the Firewall client in order to be able to use the
"Automatic Configuration Script" from a IE client.
I cant seem to get any info on how to create a .pac file and how to
implement it that the client can access the ISA server using a http://
automatic configuration script file.
Please help
