NSLookup is irrelenvant unless you're looking for "wpad.<suffix>".

Auto detection doesn't use the server name, it uses "wpad".

This is all exaplined in the ISA help.

Hi Tom,

Correct; it's an UQDN...

:-)

Hi Guys,

another question.... my isa server is called e.g. isa2004 on our
network and the dns is poiting to the correct ip. Though when i set the
firewall client to "Automatically detect firewall" it is not able to
find the firewall, i.e. it fails...

I guess this is related to dns right? Though if I run nslookup from the
same machine, the results are correct.. any ideas?

Regards,
Nick Holmes.
