Keep in mind that with any NLB solution you have to manually configure the
two standalone ISA since one of the best feature of an array is the
possibility to keep adminstrating easy...

Why don't do a dcpromo on both isa machines and let them both be the active
directory?

I wanna that my users use both servers, like if it is just one server, if
one server go down the users will not lost the access to internet, I know
that the array is the best solution, but I don't have active directory and I
will not implement one just to solve this problem, I guess that if I use NLB
the users can access the ISA Server via one IP that will be used for both
servers, do you know if work ?

Thanks,

Alex

That's not quite the same as an ISA array. Arrays provide centralized
storage of ISA configuration (in AD, thus the requirement) and a distributed
cache. What exactly is it that you are trying to achieve?

Ok, it's mean that if I don't have an Active Drectory I can not use an
Array, is there other option ? If I use NLB with the internal Interface of
the ISA Servers ?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

You must have Active Directory to configure ISA as an array.
