I would recommend to put the page file on a separate spinal (hard drive)
then on a its own partition.  
Since you are still working off the same spinal you will still have disk
contention.  There might be a slight improvement on its own partition
but its recommended to move the page file on it's own spinal.

2GB Page file with 3GB installed memory?

One performance boost is to put the page file on its own partition at 2x
installed memory. Also, never have the page file on a mirrored
partition. That in itself can result in a performance hit, although
small.
