I see your point. :-) I've been slowly bringing my first ISA server on
line, and in order not to have to troubleshoot multiple things at once,
I haven't put any clients (other than myself) into proxy mode. Now I'd
like to start playing with that a bit. Is there a Policy in Active
Directory that will let me force clients into proxy mode? I've searched
for it but haven't found it. Surely I don't have to make a personal
visit to every workstation to put IE into proxy mode?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Yes, or you can disable the HTTP Redirector filter if you're not
configured as a Web Proxy client. The only reason not to configure hosts
as Web Proxy clients is if you prefer lower performance and functionalty
:-)

For this to work, does the client computer need to be in proxy mode?

Thanks,

Hello--

I need to set up a Protocol Rule to allow Yahoo Instant Messenger.
There's a pre-defined protocol for AOL Instant Messenger, but that
doesn't seem to allow the Yahoo messenger to work. Can anyone tell me
what I need to know to make the Protocol Definition?

Thanks,
Rob
