Why not use DSL routers instead of modems??? Steve -----Original Message----- From: Simon [mailto:alienfromanothergalaxy@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, January 01, 2003 8:03 PM To: Isa List Subject: [isalist] All publishing stops !! http://www.ISAserver.org Dear All at ISAserver.org Is there any way around this problem ??! I am using an ADSL dial-up connection with a fixed IP, which of its own accord will disconnect (British Telecom are the ISP - say no more) ISA will happily re-connect, alowing users to surf, however every single publishing rule will stop permanently until I manually clear out the Alerts. No email, no DNS, no web hosting, nothing.... I have installed SP1 and all other updates I could find, but still nothing fixes this problem. All I need is a patch that says OK, connection to the Internet has been lost, lets connect up again and then re-publish, but that just doesn't happen. Have I overlooked something in my setup ?? Unless I can figure out a way around this, ISA is no use, unless every company I recommend this product to has a permanent connection to the NET, a server that never goes down, and me, being available 24 hours a day to clear out the Alerts just incase the connection goes down. Please help or I will never have another holiday again in my life. Many, many thanks. Happy New Year!
