check your protocol rules. In the "applies to" tab it should say either "any
request" or "client address sets" with Ip addresses of your unix boxes.
also check that the unix boxes are part of your internal network (LAT)

Thaps,
Actually our network is setup like that but still it wont work. For the NT
machines its ok, that means there is something wrong with the Unix setup.

Hi Tladi,
if the ISA server is setup as a default gateway you should be able to.
However, if it is not you will not be able to.

If the the ISA is the default gateway you need to add a protocol rule to
allow you computers to connect out. You might also need a packet filter rule
if you have packet filters enabled.

Thaps

Hi,

I have a problem with have unix servers perfoming functions like telneting
to an external network. Before I put the ISA server they were able to telnet
out or even send email outside using mailx. Ever since the ISA server was
put in place they havent been able to do some of these things and I am
actually under too much pressure to have this work. This worst case scenario
is I'll have to disable the proxy server.

Please help out.

Cheers,

Mothusi
