Well it works with transparent firewalls and it also means less protection. for isa you will have to write application filter to recognize dcc commands and publish some ports for new data connection. Anyway I stopped using dcc and blocking it all the time anyway.. as there are TONS of viruses worms and other mutants spreading trough it . Just tell your boss how to write ftp or http link in irc channel for file sharing or as i said put his ip to DMZ :) -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, December 02, 2002 4.27 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Accept IRC DCC Send and Receive http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Richard, OK, sounds interesting. I'll leave it to someone who uses IRC DDC to figure it out and share with us the details :-) Thanks! It really does work for mIRC with other firewalls - I've done that. I don't use IRC at work (where my ISA server is), so I couldn't tell you whether it works with ISA. -- Richard Gadsden Cobbetts IT Department ================================================== Confidentiality Notice: The information contained in this e-mail is for the intended recipient(s) alone.
