If I had my way that's what would happen, but unfortunately they insist on using it. The first time they try they get an error message that says a request took longer than expected. After that AOL doesn't even try, you just get a blank page. The AOL support people are no help at this point. Their solution is to disable the firewall. I told them that that was not an acceptable answer. If they would just tell me which port(s) AOL is attempting to use at that point I would handle the firewall configuration from there. Well, I've called twice and got hung up on twice after I explained the problem. So I'm looking in the logs to try to figure out what AOL is doing and I'm not seeing it. I see some blocked UDP ports but that's about it. What exactly should I be looking for and in which log? I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Then I think I'll call AOL tech support and tell them that I have the solution but I'll hang up on them before they can get it from me...
