Thomas,

Bingo! Actually one can disable it from the RRAS MMC. Hmm, don't recall
it being installed by default in W2K servers. Things do change though.
Thanks very much.

Mark

Hi Mark,

Check that the RRAS NAT service wasn't installed. If so, uninstall it.

Thanks!

Tom

Thomas,

Built W2K3 Standard, followed the instructions (331062), enabled RRAS,
and received this error:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: ipnathlp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 32007
Date: 5/9/2003
Time: 10:12:03 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ISA3
Description:
The Connection Sharing component could not start because another process
has taken control of the kernel-mode translation module. This may occur
when Internet Connection Sharing has been enabled for a connection. If
this is the case, please disable Internet Connection Sharing for the
connection in the Network Connections folder and then restart Routing
and Remote Access.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Could not find reference to it. Connection sharing for all adapters is
disabled (by default).

Anyone know if this error is serious?

Mark
