Hi There,

I personally wouldn't bother with pigs' ears, or other treats come to think of it! I think the whole commercial pitch regards dog treats, or animal treats for that matter is more to appease the humans rather than benefit the animal. If a dog is getting a good, well-balanced dog food I believe the dog will get all it needs. I will add, our dogs get raw carrot or apple as a treat or something "different" to munch on, this is added fibre. Anyway, as a strict vegetarian, on principle I wouldn't buy into the pigs' ears or bones.

Regards

Audrey & the trim, slim dogs

Hi,

I recently bought a bag of pigs' ears for Granger.

I was a bit bemused to find that quite a few of the ears are covered in
hair.

Surely I shouldn't give this to Granger as the hair would likely irritate
his throat?

What do other people do with hairy ears ... Seems like a rip off if I have
to throw half the bag out.

Tim
