1) Editor's Greeting:

Hello, everyone! This is the 20th issue of our free monthly
email newsletter for Computer Education, Training, & Tutorial
Resources, giving you the latest Free online IT Training
Resources that we have recently discovered and researched. This
newsletter is free to anyone subscribing (instructions at bottom,
no username/password is needed). To access our member site,
however, you do need a user name and password - registering as a
member of intelligentedu.com costs $10 for six months, for more
information please see below 'Become a Member of Intelligentedu.com'.

My desire is that these free resources will help you with your
computer education and training and are tools to advance your IT
career. Our main mission is the training of those less fortunate
who are seeking to become computer literate, both technically
and from a user's perspective.

In this issue we describe and link to a total of 56 computer, IT
and programming learning and tutorial web sites. By means of
this email newsletter, you have knowledge of and access to these
sites before our web site visitors do.

*** Current News ***

Our newsletter subscriber list is now well over 10,000. I would
like to personally welcome all of our new subscribers.

I have created a new website feedback form for our visitors to
communicate back to me their impressions about intelligentedu.com.
Please take a minute to fill it out here:
http://intelinfo.master.com/texis/master/search/+/form/Site_Feedback.html
I will let you know the results of this feedback survey in a
future newsletter.

I have also posted a new special request form that our site
members can use to communicate to me what their training needs
are. Non-members may also use it, but members will get priority
in our time spent researching and finding free computer and IT
training. Here it is:
http://intelinfo.master.com/texis/master/search/+/form/Site%20Member%20Special%20Request.html

Just to let you know, we are still in the process of updating
all of the links on all pages of the site. All the popular pages
have been updated. Eventually we will move to an automated
database.

I'd like to personally wish you the best of luck with your
computer studies and learning.

Warm Regards,
Scott Turton

9) Frequently Asked Questions about Technical Training:

Each month Scott Turton will answer one of the frequently asked
questions we receive about computer and IT training and career
development.

April 2002 FAQ:

What is your new "Understanding Computer Security" e-book all
about? How do I get one?

Answer:

This is a new computer security e-book that I have put together
from U.S. government agency computer security papers and guides.
I have attempted to extract the most relevant information and
present it in a coherent and understandable manner. It is a
complex area encompassing many topics that can be difficult to
understand and bring together. My hope is that this e-book will
make computer security easier to learn. You can receive your
free copy be sending an email with the word 'security' to this
address intelinfo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I will send to back to you
as an zipped attachment (550 kb). When unzipped the file is a
windows .exe executable. For those not able to use this format,
please email me (intel@xxxxxxxxxxxx), at a later date I'll have
an alternate format ready.
