Hi, You would be better off asking this on the program-l list on freelists. To answer your question, try using scalable vector graphics. There used to be a program called all clear. It had a command based interface for drawing. I don't know if the program is still alive though. If you have access to a Viewplus embosser, then you can print the diagrams from Visio. You can tab through them too and read the labels but getting the sense of the shape is tricky. As for creating them in Visio, it is a problem since you need to drop shapes and select them from a toolbar. A demo version is available so you never kow. If you know VBA, you could perhaps write code to drop the controls. You are a computer science student after all. <smile Pranav -----Original Message----- From: infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:infotech-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chamandeep Grover Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2011 2:54 AM To: infotech Subject: [infotech] UML Diagrams Hello all, Firstly i am sorry for the off topic post however, i urgently need some assistance with one of the aspects of my computer science degree. Quite a few of the modules require that i draw and access UML diagrams (Use case, class diagrams, activity diagrams etc). I have tried to explain that there is no accessible way that i can do that but they have insisted that i must find a way. Until now, i have been given such diagrams in their basic forms on thermal form raised paper and when it came to me creating them myself, i have given textual descriptions. So my question is does anyone know of an accessible way of achieving this? Are there software packages that will allow me to do such thing? I was recommended to use Microsoft Visio but i am not sure on how sufficient that will be (it is downloading as i write this email!). I am sure that some of you may have done degrees in the computer science area, if so how did you overcome these issues? Once again sorry for the off topic post and thank you in advance for any help you can give.
