Hi,
To start with a more meaningful comparison with present uses of products, it may first be better to do a comparison between camera-based scanning/OCR and traditional or 'flatbed' scanning/OCR. It may not be easy to have three camera-based solutions on hand at the one time, given the use of proprietary solutions (by pearl at least), although that can be attempted later on, once the above comparison has been made and grounds for further investigation have therefore been established.

Hi Brian,

I do not have a problem with this and can appreciate your situation.
As for what I liked reviewed, a comparison of tvarious camera scanning
solutions would be nice. These solutions would include the iPal, The
Pearl and the Clear Reader.

Hi

Lets get to the nub of the issue right away.

Unfortunately, we are not able to produce a magazine at the moment for September and October. We are extremely sorry about this. It is due to a
combination of factors.

The greatest problem is time to produce it. We just don't have the time
right now to get it done due to very heavy work commitments, most of
which take us away from the office. The other two problems are some
products not being made available to us for review and also I have to
say contributions which we were promised and those promises not being
honoured. I personally believe that we should be honest with you at this
point and let you know what is happening.

So what we propose is that there should be a magazine during December
which will be longer than the standard length you would usually receive. We have some product reviews which we can do, including the iPhone and associated applications which people have been asking for. If there is
anything in particular you would like us to review, please do not
hesitate to suggest it. I know a tour of Windows7 is also something
people would like to hear.

Again, our sincere apologies for this and lets hope the December edition
makes up for the lack of a magazine during the last quarter.

If you have any questions, please do let me know.
