Pranav.
This feature would now also include the new KNFB product which can be
installed on certain mobile phones thus taking away the need for that
horrible hardware platform.

Subject: [infotech] Feature suggestion: mobile ocr comparison

Hi all,

Apologies if I have suggested this before.
How about an Infotech feature that compares portable OCR solutions?
There seem to be 2 options namely the Si Recogniser and the KNFB
reader that runs on a mobile phone.

The third option is to just use a camera and then transfer the images
to a computer and recognise them.

I would like to know how well mobile OCRs can handle facing pages and
if their vendors have any plans for math recognition.
