Dear Lynne, Highlights are an excellent idea! If you can find out where to
get t hose Pourfect bowls, pleas let me know. Maybe locations as to whwere th
purchase items, or locations of restaurants is a fine idea as well.

Stay well and stay in touch. Best regards, Lucia

  P.S.

HEre is my recipe for the stew.

  In the Crockpot.

  2 packages veal cubes

  2 packages mixed vegetables

One can of beer, or, can substitute 2 glasses of wine

  2 packets onion soup mix

  2 packets mushroom soup mix

Cook in the crockpot 4 hours on low, or, 8 hours on high.

If cooking on the stove, in a large, very large pot, about 45 minutes to an
hour.

Boil either noodles or brown rice separately on the side.

thank you all for a deliciously spirited and interesting meeting. We've been
talking about having notes for years so I just decided to create highlights.
if you find any errors, please feel free to correct me or add what I've
omitted. My intention was to simply get something out on the same day.

  Highlights:

Rebecca - No-cal pasta, made from yams,

Sharon - Sugar-free cookies from Whole Foods, Gum and candy made with
Zylitol, an alternative sugar

Lucia - a quick and convenient recipe for Veal Stew made in the crock pot.

Ellen - a recipe for preparing a tasty oatmeal

Sandra - a recipe for making sweet potato pudding that also doubles as a pie
filling.

Fresh Direct, Pea Pod, Whole foods Trader Joe's and Costco were discussed
for service.

Lynne offered two specialty restaurants for macaroni and cheese and rice
pudding right here in NYC. Also mentioned was a restaurant called L'Express,
where yummy lambburgers can be devoured.

Maria -explanation and example of a message from the Cooking in the Dark
mailing list. We also played a snippet from the podcast of the same name.

  The Web:

  Allrecipes.com

Information was provided for purchasing items from Amazon.com/access. Amazon
Prime was described in brief.

And, of course, we know we can Go to Google for just about everything!

  Products:

Sam - Braille apps for iDevices that need a bit more cooking. Sam, if you can
provide the names, that would be great!

Luis described the amazing Rotato potato peeler (available at Amazon)

George described the Keuric coffee maker and its pods.

Lynne mentioned the Pourfect bowls, which have measurements in Braille

  Show and Tell:

Ellen - magna wonder knife, double spatula and egg organizer

  George - measuring spoons

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  Lynne
