Hi Sharon,
I don't know why he's not playing, though it might be because the performers
are usually students and he is now a teacher. However, the auxiliary
percussion is not a keyboard, but Yo and Tony Falaro playing an occasional
bongo, tambourine, chime, Etc., when needed.
