Hi Sharlene,
First, try pressing the Home button 3 times. if that does not activate the
screenreader, you might try tapping the screen 2 times with 3 fingers.
you can answer a call simply by double tapping the screen with 2 fingers when
it is ringing. You can also use this hand gesture to hang up a call when you're
done.

Hi Everyone
I bought an Iphone 4S. The phone did talk right out of the bos, but I
think I somehow turned it off. Now it just dings. Also, if you can't see the
screen, how do you know if you have turned it off or if it is in sleep mode?
Finally, when the phone rings, how do you answer a call? Do you actually have
to get into the phone and then find an answer button? I think my impatient
friends will hang up by then.
Any info would be appreciated.
