I am planning to give a talk on "Virus Filtering using a Linux
Gateway" in the coming ilugc meet (Jan 10th 2004).
thought would share the draft with you people to learn more of what
you expect :). i invite your flames/suggestions.
the rough draft of my talk, ppl:
1. What do you want to have today? - Viruses, worms and other slimy
creatures on the menu.
goes through types of malicious programs, and other interesting
snippets/trivia. also will include a complete break down of a virus(
maybe with source itself ).
2. Linux doesn't need a virus - Carelessness is enuff.
to make people understand the responsibilities that linux brings with it.
3. Why Linux on the Gateway ?
explains the unbeatable features on Linux that makes it 'DA' gateway of
choice for any organisation.
4. open is secure - open source to the rescue !!!
will talk of the different open source options available and also give a
plug for openprotect - opencomputing's open source project.
hope that covers all the questions, people will expect to be answered.
