Hi bsd unix!
Suppose i buy a WLAN card, can i make it to work as
a accesspoint ?
Yes, depends on the card chipset and the driver. In
general, you can operate a WLAN card in these modes:
- Ad-hoc
- Managed
- Master
- Repeater
- Secondary
- Monitor
- Auto
The Master option allows you to use it as an AP. More
on configuration issues by reading the man page for
'iwconfig':
#man iwconfig
