[Ilugc] upgrading to sarge help

Sarge installer is broken (atleast from the old DWN i read a couple of
weeks back). So DONOT use the installer given on the CD.
1. install using 3.0r2 CDs
2. use apt-cdrom to add the sarge CDs into the apt repository
3. apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade (and follow the
instructions). You will be on sarge!
The dselect method suggested didn work.It exited at the begining of
installation with an error message.I went for the next one
I added the CDs into the apt repository after installing 3.0r2.Then i did an
apt-get-update before apt-get dist-upgrade i was forced to do an apt-get -f
install
then i did apt-get dist-upgrade.It went on well with some 3/4 CDs and again
exited.I remember that i configured some Xserver related things after that the
installation exited.When i rebooted even the lilo which was there before is
gone.
