I'm now helping a departmental store to migrate to
GNU/Linux from Windows 98. I installed Mdk-10.0. The
original billing software works in DOS box in Windows
quite well. I tried wine, but it fails. Then I
downloaded dosemu, which worked perfectly. The
software is now working perfectly under linux--but the
problem is the when tring to print the bill through
software it's giving some error like ..
print error: client-error-code .. something like
So I searched for simple software that does this ..
should allow entry of new products (id, maxprice,
price) and should print bills by entering product id,
quantity. That's all. I though of writing that app.
myself, but very busy these days. Searched freshmeat,
sf, google--all of them are quite big and complex. Do
you think of any software.
Also the original software was written in
FoxProx/dBase--though I can convert the dBase data to
GNU/Linux CDs: http://cs.annauniv.edu/~rsridhar/fs-cds.shtml
