if you are running an rpm based distribution (redhat etc), i would
recommend getting the rpm and installing it. as of redhat 8.0,
squirrelmail is part of the distribution. the will help you in future if
you upgrade to a newer version of squirrelmail (file locations vary
between tar.gz version and rpm version).
but how to start it in browser.when in opened the index file it is showun
login.php not found in src directory but as per installtion it is there.
can anybody guide me for that or other web based mail..
squirrelmail works just fine, so you could stick to it. check the file
permits - the login.php script should have rx permits for your web server
(all scripts should have this, in fact). using the rpm also takes care of
this file permits business.
