I don't know any thing like programming in Linux. C, C++
compilers default with most distributions. But they can
be installed on any Unix, Windows OS also. Perl, Python,
TCL/TK are cross platform scripting tools. Shell programming
is there for Unix like platforms. May be Linux specific is
GTK and Qt are linux specific to some extent.
What do you wanted to do with Linux? If you specify that
then one can advise what to do. I don't think there is anything
called Linux programming in general (OK Linux programming
for me is Linux kernel programming).
