[Ilugc] new member with modem initialization problem

hello everyone!
  iam arvind.iam new to this group.i've installed
redhat 8.0.but have problem with my modem
initialization.my modem is US Robotics 28800 fax/modem
i tried to connect to vsnl with the kppp program.could
any one tell me the initialization string for the
modem.my default initialization string is ATZ.
