So your syllabus has nothing to do with GNU/Linux OR any
particular OS / Software? Is it your college's choice? If it is
your college's choice, its the best thing that can happen. It becomes
easier to convince individual colleges to start using Free Software
(atleast much more better than convincing the University board)

and It seems MCA has some sort of an open syllabus where colleges are
free to pick up the software of their choice. So for networking, they
choose GNU/Linux. For web programming they choose ASP/JSP/etc., This is
from the mouth of an MCA student that I know of. I'm still surprised. Is
this true?
