in a related note, is anybody aware of MS-Access like DB's for Linux (as in
ease of use) ?
tried Firebird/Interbase (firebird.sf.net) ?
There are plenty of frontend tools for Firebird. Quite a few of them are
written using Kylix. Since you mentioned you use kylix for in-house development
that should'nt be a problem.
Another interesting alternative is to use Openoffice. OO has a mechanism for
connecting to MySQL databases through unixODBC.
