When mounting, you can specify options like the owner or group that
the disk would be mounted as. Read mount(8) for more info.

ive just installed slack 10.0 but im having some problems mounting my
fat partitions...ive put in the options in fstab for my fat drives (FS
type vfat) and mount options 'defaults'..the problem is that these
drives mount with 744 permissions so no other user can navigate these
