a silly doubt. But i feel getting it cleared.
when we list the files some of the files have file permissions like this.
drwxrwxr-x 2 elan elan 4096 Aug 18 17:08 sample
srwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Aug 15 20:39 xmms_root.0
I could understand the "w" "r" and "x". But what are these "d" and "s"
stands here?
