I you get some ? you should check board which has bios ( i.e on cpu
There are 2 cpu boards. Both of them are identical except for some
jumpers I tried pulling one out and letting the other and vice
versa. All give the same effect. I tried both the cards seperately,
and together. I tried connecting the cosole to both the cpu
boards. Still I get only one `?' on the cosole. I tried locating the
BIOS chip on the cpu boards. Could find only a chip labled "Magnum
boot". But there is one of these chips on both the cpu boards.
cpu ) Also try different slots.
Tried all combinations. only a `?'
I remember once when the console port didn't work but others worked.
Though I am not sure, there was one more port near console which can
be used without serial port vacc card. Blind booting.
aw., something labeled `port 0'. I tried putting the terminal on this
port too. This dosent show up anything at all..
You can disconnect hdd and try atleast boot prompt should appear.
No, this dosent come up either.
After I switch on, I see activity on the SCSI board. Then, it tries to
do soemthing with the HDD. But it stops in a couple of seconds. All
that remains is a `?' on the terminal and some LEDs on the boards.
