We have about 500 users. And we are planning to replace FTP with SCP
(or SFTP). To deny shell access I used to create a /etc/nologin file
*or* change the shell of all users to /bin/false. This doesn't work
when I want them to use SCP (which uses SSH in turns needs shell).
I installed (debian) vsftpd, but I can't connect to it from outside (SFTP).
Simply I wanted users to use SCP for file transfer but shouldn't be
able to login to shell (using ssh or ...).
Any thoughts?
