[Ilugc] 'Sync out of Range ' error

for better, u can use `setup' command line utility to solve this
problem.
In that choose xconfiguration and then u can adjust your monitor sync
freq.
I will assume that you are using either RH 8,9 or Fedora
Take a backup of the file /etc/X11/XF86Config and rename it so some
XF86Config.old and run redhat-config-xfree86.
It will generate a new file with the correct frequencies.
Unless I am mistaken, it will probe the monitor for the correct
frequencies and will do the needful
