from the feedback i got from some of the students is that 'they can
hardly understand anything in *nix.
This would continue happening if our teachers think that they can
expose all the difficult portions of networking later, say at the MS
level. Teachers' say that, first let us introduce guys to programming
via the Windows route and later migrate students' to GNU or Unix. The
BS students' are passing out from their courses full of confusing
notions.....which gets compounded at the MS level.
Confusion aggravates as students' are exposed to `non-free' tools and
when they are denied access to the code of daily used stuff, to learn.
The net result would be, BS students' were partial-zombies but now we
get full-zombies at the MS level.
