This is not linux based, but I'll give you the simplest and best option:
Bloglines.
http://www.bloglines.com
It is web-based, so you can read your subscriptions from everywhere, and
the rate at which they add features and support for new formats (like
Atom) is simply awesome. Try it once, and you'll be hooked. Plus, no
irritating ads. If you use firefox, even better. There is a extension
which easily allows you to sign up to a feed just with a mouse click.
They even give you a email id, which lets you read email you can read
from your bloglines account (isnt' that awesome? rss-enabled email!) and
LOTS of other features. I have no idea how they make money out of this,
but it simply *rocks*.

srs
Hi
I tried it now on my fedora core 1 which has mozilla 1.4.1. It does
not work. It installs ok but when you try to run the application it
just closes the window. Maybe it works on latest mozilla.
Thanks
