1.my pc does not calls init 0 when i press the power
button in the cabinet.which file should it change?
2.i can get more tty by editing inittab file.how to
get two or more X sessions in my box?what to edit?
3.how to add security by asking for password when all
the processes starts when linux starts them?
ie something like this
Checking /boot [OK]
Type Ur Password:********
Starting crond [OK] etc.....
i don't want to add grub password as itis maintained
by lab administrator.i know i should edit init.d file
but what to do?
4.i configured my samba server and can see all the
computer in my network but it asks for username and
password but when i type the admin's password it
displays me error as the password is incorect.Should
any file need to altered?any problem with the
encryption of password?
5.i installed linux kernel 2.6.6 and see that it is
successfully installed but the services are not
successfully started.why?it successfully starts in 2.4
kernel and also see that the boot directory has only
kernel.h file in it.where have the other files gone?in
the boot up it showed that it was not able to mount
ext3 partitions?is this the reason?
6.i am not able to browse hotmail.com it says
loginnet.passport.com not found but i am connected to
net.i can browse remaining sites.
is my mozilla not supporting that M$ site?
