Its only a matter of time this gmail fs is also going to get blocked

I doubt it, becuase Yahoo itself continues to bear with YahooPOPs!

mails thru your regular mail client. It's effectively bypassing Yahoo's
advertising, ergo, Yahoo is losing atleast some amount of ad revenue.
But still, the project continues to thrive.
In the same way, Google is bearing with many apps like Gmail Notifier
extension for Firefox, and even recently released it's own version of
Gmail Notifier. Bottomline is that, they don't want to antagonize users
by disabling neat apps. You cand *depend* on M$ to do that, for sure ;)
