Thank you friends . any i was not able to explain my
problem, i was able to solve the problem with your
problems.!
but now i wanted to start the X server when i boot my
system in rublevel 3..i tried the following and the
errors as
initaily booted the system in runlevel 3
[root@Kaavi-main kaavi1]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs status
xfs (pid 3499) is running...
[root@Kaavi-main kaavi1]# startx
XFree86 Version 4.3.0 (Red Hat Linux release: 4.3.0-2)
Release Date: 27 February 2003

so i stopped the xfs
and again gave the command
