I don't know about RedHat. But in Debian and Mandrake,
the config file is in the /boot directory. So that should be
the place it is found in RH also. Otherwise it would probably
be in /lib/modules/`uname -r`
$ rpm -ql kernel-source | grep config
will give the correct location if the file is present
