Basically the NZ OSS society tests the hardware for linux
compatibility and if it works, the vendor gets to put a "Linux
Friendly" logo on the product.
Still many people find very difficult to identify whether particular
device will work with Linux OR not? Suppose if device comes with
"Linux Logo" then it is very easy select and reduce the confusions.
Does this kind of scheme have a chance to take off in India? Any
thoughts? Personally I think this is a nice way to make money and
promote linux at the same time :-)
Yes, this the best way to promote the Linux.
