hi,
actually the debian has very less support for force installing. But
there is a interesting way how debian keeps track of this.
when every it installs a package, it creats some files in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/ .
go to that directory and grep for "/usr/lib/kde2/kio_help.la" it will
show one file which contains this.open the file and delete that line
and install ur required packages.
every thing will go fine.
have fun
Bye

Hi Friends,
I had been using woody for some time. During that period I was
just using Gnome and Windowmaker. I would like to have kde
installed now. I used dselect to install kdebase,kdebase-libs etc.
When unpacking kdebase-libs I get the following error.
"sub-process killed
trying to overwrite /usr/lib/kde2/kio_help.la which is also in
kdelibs3
returning error status 100 "
How do I solve this conflict? Thanx for your help in advance.
Cheers!!!
