Is HTML necessary? Is formatting in plain text necessary? Is speling
neccessary ?

in RH 7.2 and could be able to send a mail to my isp mail-id. The dns
servers used to connect to isp is given in resolv.conf and the dns
addresses are isp addresses. The hostname of the pc is a not a registered
domain name. When i received the mail, that i have sent, i could able to
see the unregistered domain name in the TO: address field. I dont want the
unregistered domain name to be known to someone else outside. All the
internal pc's in our concern (LAN connected) uses the same unregistered
domain with a prefix of the user in the domain for every pc (for eg., if
the domain name is anaconda.org the name of the pc is shelley.anaconda.org
likewise every other pc has a different prefix to this unregistered domain
name). Since we dont have a registered username, i have to make this
arrangement till we do get one. If i send a mail to another pc in the
internal n/w, sendmail checks for named server, and! then says the mail
cannot be sent (see when i send the mail like this, iam not connected to
internet, as i dont want due to the reason above). In order to configure
other clients in the network should i copy the sendmail.mc and paste it in
the machines. Should i enabled pop3 in all other machines in the LAN to
receive the mail sent from the machine connected to internet. I would like
to know whether by configuring a cache-only name server is it possible to
solve this problem. I could not able to send / forward any mails to the
internal network at present. I have read two articles one at <A

the name as "How to configure sendmail for Dial On Demand Operation" (may

search engine) the! authors emphasise<BR>that with caching name server it
is possible to send mails to the local machines without the need to connect
to the ISP.<BR> <BR>Added to the above, if a cache-only nameserver is
configured should it be done on every pc of the network. Most of the sys.
admin.s would have encountered this problem, please share your views.
