Thanks for your mail Sanjay. But, I have tried all that you have mentioned
with respect to the XConfig (switching low to high reso) and also the
sndconfig for the Sound Card thru the Text login, but no agains as yet. The
Sound Card gets deducted by sndconfig probe correctly but the Drivers which
gets installed for the same is i810 chipset drivers. And the Video Card got
deducted while installing but display was not proper, later on trying with
the Xconfigurator the Video Card is getting deducted only as i810 Intel.
I have looked around with Redhat official site as well as Intel Support
Home Pages no agains as yet.
Let me try for somemore time before switching back to windows...

1. X Configurator auto deducted my on-board Video
Card by installed the
i810/815 Chipset Video Drivers I think... due to
which, the X when started
distorted image appears on the screen.., but I am
able to login, after the
resolution is such that the fonts are too big and
everything id out of
focus in the monitor.
2. The Sound test was performed after in the final
stages of installation,
but the sound did not play on testing the same.
3. I am using a DAX 56k External Modem, which wasHavent gotten there yet with RH 8
also not deducted by
Redhat Linux...
