Hello all,
I am right now working in Nepal (in a place called Pokhara, teaching in
a college). I need some latest distributions (like Debian, Mandrake,
Gentoo, etc.) for my personal use, to install in our
servers/workstations and to demonstrate to my students. Since we don't
have good bandwidth here, one can't think about downloading stuff here.
I would be glad to have FreeBSD/NetBSD also, if available.
These BE(software engineering) students are of the view that the Unices
are something not designed for them and using them is like going to Mars.
If any of you are interested in burning them for me, please mail me. I
will ask one of my friends in Chennai to contact you, collect it from
you(and pay you for the cost of the CDs) and mail them to me.
(Of course, some linux CDs are available in Kathmandu, in the shops
which "import" and sell unauthorised CDs (fixed price - just 100 NRs per
CD - whatever it may contain). Along with Visualstudios and Autocads,
we can find one Redhat CD also - the only non-windows CD.)
