Imagine the following events:
+GPL'ed MS GNU/Linux (A good attempt to serve and survive)
+GPL'ed MS * (The community gets a chance to fix all the bugs, if some
volunteers seriously think that possible)
+Irate MS user$ get wise, start making comparisons with *BSD or *I*X,
raise serious questions regarding the weak security, vulnerability
and other bugs and blotches, join together, revoke licenses and sue
for return of license fee$ along with damage$ after which
assimilation follows
My prediction is that the last event is more likely to come true than
the other two :) HTH
