Boot loader configuration is stored in MBR in your
system(RH9 & win 98).When you format you will
definitely lose boot information.But the linux still
exists in its own partition.After installing
windows.Insert the linux cd and boot to rescue mode
and execute the command loadlin from the linux cd.
You can enter into the linux and now edit the loader
configuration in /etc/lilo.conf or grub.conf
2) Other way install windows and start the
installation by inserting the linux cd .Dont install
actually .When it asks for install or upgrade,choose
upgrade and update boot info alone and select some
kernel packages for it upgrade.
