[Ilugc] External Modem - Doubt

Hi - I think you should put X3 in the modem init string settings. Remember,
if there is X4 in that string change that to X3. That should fix the
problem.
There are various other settings possible with the ATXx command set.
You will find the reference in your modem manual AT command set.

Hi all,
I have a GVC external 33.6 modem, with RH 7.0. Configured modem with the
RH PPP? tool, it detected the modem and everthing was okay till the time i
tried to dial up my ISP. It was giving the error "Unable to detect the dial
tone..Redialling", this goes on and on, and it never makes the connection.

what am i doing wrong? Is there some settings that should be included in
wvdial.conf?
