Hi,
Intel 845 Chipset family is supported in the XFree86 3.0 and above that too
in CVS only. The official release for the same is yet happen. Try
downloading the Source and re-compiling. You can use the 845 Chipset by
configuring the Video Card to VESA along with the Motherboard BIOS setting
of Video Memory changed to 8 MB from the default 1 MB.

Hi,
I have installed Mdk 9 in many systems. Some of the systems with 845/850
chipset motherboards cause display problems. After installtion, when I
give
the command $startx, the X doesn't start, instead gives error message -
"Screen not found". I have tried RH8.0/SuSe 8, hoping for a solution.
But,
they too don't help. I don't find any new version in www.xfree86.org.
Kindly help me/them.
