Hi Ankit,
The best alternative or the only good way to perform DBI operations would
be to use Perl/DBI. It is fast easy and also cross-platform. You can use
Perl/Tk for the GUI.

more than what i could have imagined. Just goes to show the power of Open
Source and how there are projects and tools there that we cant even think
about in the proprietary world(denominated of course by MicroSoft).
